A Pipe Laser is designed to one specific job and that is to aid in the laying of pipes.  This type of laser produces a bright visible laser dot that is set to a specified grade or slope.  They are generally located within a pipe and shoot the laser dot to a target.  Sometimes these lasers are used on top of a pipe or mounted on a tripod at the end of pipes.
