Engineering Lasers & Tools — Precision instruments.

Specialist measurement and alignment tools for engineering, fabrication and inspection work. Fixed-line industrial lasers, laser distance meters, and digital inclinometers — calibrated, supported and shipped from Australia.

Fixed Alignment Lasers

Industrial fixed-line alignment lasers

Mains-powered industrial lasers that project a precise fixed line for cutting, tracing, guillotining and similar fabrication work. Adjustable for length and line thickness — pick red or green beam depending on the lighting in your workspace.

Laser Distance Measures

Quick, accurate distance measurement

Replace the tape on long measurements. The L1-30 covers 30m with millimetre accuracy in one button-press — ideal for set-out, fit-out and pricing-up jobs.

Digital Inclinometers

Digital angle measures

Easy, accurate angle measurement of any surface. Pick by length — compact 160mm for tight spots through to a full 1200mm spirit-level format. The DA530L combines an inclinometer with a laser line for layout work.

FAQ

Engineering Tool Questions

What’s a fixed alignment laser used for?
Fixed-line industrial lasers project a stable laser line onto a workpiece for guided cutting, tracing, guillotining, sawing and other repeat fabrication tasks. They run off 240V mains so they stay on all day, and the optics can be adjusted for line length and thickness to suit the work in front of them.
Should I get a red beam or green beam fixed line laser?
Both red and green options are 5mW (Class 3R). Green is roughly 4–5× more visible to the human eye, so it’s the better pick in well-lit fabrication shops. Red is fine for darker workshops and is generally a little cheaper.
How accurate is the L1-30 laser distance meter?
±2 mm over its 30 m range. Ideal for everyday set-out, fit-out and quoting where speed matters more than survey-grade precision.
Which digital inclinometer should I choose?
Pick by the work and the length you need:
DL160 — 160 mm, fits in a tool belt, great for engine bays, pipe runs and tight spots.
DL600 — 600 mm, the all-rounder for general fab and plant work.
DL1200 — 1200 mm spirit-level format for floors, beams and long surfaces.
DA530L — adds a laser line to the inclinometer for projecting an angle onto a surface.
Are these tools calibrated before they ship?
Yes. Every RedBack tool is checked before shipping. Lasers carry a calibration certificate, and inclinometers have on-tool calibration so you can re-zero them in the field.
Real support. Real people.
